‘One-stop shops’ for disaster relief combine help from state and federal agencies
State and federal agencies are working together to provide what the governor’s office is calling “one-stop shops” to aid communities impacted by recent flooding. As IPR’s Thomas Ouellette reports, residents in Delaware and Madison counties will be able to visit locally.

According to Governor Mike Braun’s office, these temporary disaster relief centers will provide assistance with things like Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and state disaster fund applications, insurance claims, and housing support.
In Delaware County, assistance is set up at the county fairgrounds:
- Delaware County Fairgrounds, Heartland Hall
- 1210 N Wheeling Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47303
- Hours: Wednesday to Friday: 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
In Madison County, people can visit the Parkview Church of the Nazarene:
- Parkview Church of the Nazarene
- 911 South Rangeline Road, Anderson, IN 46012
- Hours: Wednesday to Friday: 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
State officials say more locations, services, and hours of operations will be announced as more support become available.

Federal officials report that more than 25,000 Hoosiers have already applied for FEMA aid.
Braun says FEMA has approved more than $2 million for families impacted by the flooding. Low interest disaster loans are also being made available by the U.S. Small Business Administration to help local businesses that are recovering from storm damage.
