Anderson University receives multi-million dollar local donation for cybersecurity program and scholarships
Longtime Madison County business owners Jay and Nancy Ricker have made another large donation to help fund multiple projects at Anderson University, such as the campus’ growing cybersecurity department.
In a press release, Brent Baker, the vice president of advancement, said how thankful AU is for the donation of more than $2 million. He said the Rickers “have made a tremendous difference on our campus in a short amount of time.”
Funds going to AU’s cybersecurity department will benefit more than 10 degree paths for students to undertake. The money will also be used for student scholarships and other strategic plan initiatives.
This donation comes as one of many contributions the family has made to the school in the past few years, which totaled more than $1 million last year.
